Services Career Transition
As the UK’s leading international provider of security management training for the corporate security sector, the ARC Training International Academy for Security Management is the service leaver’s obvious choice in preparing for a career in security management. ARC courses are recognized throughout the world and by many leading multinational companies.
Options available to serving members of the armed forces include:
ASIS CPP and PSP Certifications
The CPP (Certified Protection Professional) certification is the only internationally recognized professional certification in advanced security management, and worldwide 10,000 security professionals have undertaken this certification. Pre-qualification to sit the examination requires nine years of security experience, including five in “responsible charge”. For most NCOs and officers, their service experience meets these criteria.
The PSP (Physical Security Professional) certification is a qualification in specifying physical security systems. If you are planning to enter the security industry as a consultant this is a very useful study programme.
Baroness Henig, Chairman of the UK Security Industry Authority, has described ASIS certification holders as setting benchmarks for excellence in the security management profession.
ARC Training Skills-for-Security Accredited Courses
Service leavers may apply for a discount to attend any ARC Training security management course. Many courses offer discounts of up to 50% for members of the armed forces who register and complete payment while still in service.
Furthermore, ARC will arrange for you to be interviewed by a leading recruitment executive in the security sector.
For more information on both the ASIS certification and ARC Training course options, contact Janet Ward.
