The Security Institute

The Security Institute is a body of over eight hundred members, representing in particular the management and consulting echelons of security management. Admission to the Institute is through a rigorous and formal validation process.

One of the stated aims of The Security Institute is to raise standards within the profession. It provides a programme that addresses the issue of professional validation for security professionals. The programme is designed to assess security management experience, academic qualifications, vocational qualifications and contributions to the security profession, via an independent professional validation board.

The ARC Training International Academy for Security Management is an active supporter of The Security Institute. David Cresswell, ARC’s MD is a Council Member of the Institute and also chairs the Institute’s Working Group on the Corporate Response to Terrorism.
