ASIS International Certification

The ARC Training International Academy for Security Management, in a unique partnership with ASIS International Chapter 208 (UK), offers preparation programmes to prepare candidates for the CPP™ (Certified Protection Professional) and PSP™ (Physical Security Professional) certifications.

These highly successful programmes are led by Barry Walker CPP™ and Peter Horsburgh CPP™ PSP™, respectively. Both programmes offer an interactive and fully tutor-supported environment in which candidates can prepare for the certifications with a high degree of confidence of success - first time pass rate for both certifications in the UK is at least 80%.

Although sponsored by the UK ASIS Chapter, the programmes are open to participants from overseas, who make up about 20% of the candidates each year.

Phillip Wood and Baroness Henig Since 2004 Barry Walker, Janet Ward (programme coordinator) and Peter Horsburgh have all received international awards from the ASIS International Professional Certification Board for their outstanding contributions to the success of the programmes. This is unique across the ASIS community of over 34,000 members, and is a tribute to the success of the programmes.

Certification preparation programmes for CPP™ take place twice yearly, beginning with the distance learning element in January and June, in preparation for the May and November examinations, respectively. The PSP™ certification programme takes place once a year, beginning in June in preparation for the November examination. David Cresswell, ARC's Director of Studies, is Chairman of the UK ASIS Chapter Professional Development Committee, responsible for the administration of the CPP™ and PSP™ in the UK.
